Dried Fava Beans

We harvested the last of our fava beans the other day. I shucked the beans and since it is so dry here right now, I set them on this strainer overnight to dry. It took 2 nights and a day, then they were ready to store. It's only about a cup and a half of beans. Maybe we'll grind the dried beans and try them in place of chick pea flour.

I also saved some whole beans for replanting next year. I don't think this will be nearly enough though. If the flour turns out to be good we'll probably plant many more fava beans next year.
