My two year old carted out the bag of old school Playskool blocks all by himself. These vintage blocks were a wonderful Christmas gift last year and continue to be a cornerstone of play at Camp Ramshackle. I helped my youngest set out the mat and let him take over.
He pulled me back over to share his proud achievement of the long line of blocks. Mission accomplished!
Love it. Reminds me of my childhood toys. My father was a shop teacher, so made us all wooden toys. Sadly, stupid me used the handmade lincoln logs to stoke the fire. :(
ReplyDeleteI bet you felt pretty resourceful at the time. We have some "tree blocks" at our house (limbs of trees cut to different sizes) that have fallen victim to one of our dog's munching. And I have found one of the tree blocks in the fireplace (pre-fire). I suspect it's only a matter of time.
