You inspired me to check out my property for drainage issues yesterday. So I discovered what first appeared to be a small spring to the side of the yard. Turns out, water is seeping into the yard above us, and pouring out the warren of gopher holes underneath us.
ReplyDeleteNot particulary relevent, but I thought that was too weird not to share. Now I'm praying for No Sink Holes.
Funny you mentioned that, when I was digging the trenches one exposed a gopher hole which was taking almost all of the flow until the downpour turned torrential. After that it couldn't accomodate all of the water any more but I wondered where those several gallons per minute were going. I think I'll go back and look to see if the hole is still exposed.
