Ok, not literally, but Mark just recently posted about his Plymouth Barred Rock Chicks on Boing Boing and turned us on to the L.A. homesteader blog Green Frieda, where Tina (pictured) and Peggy have just been introduced to Lisa, and seem to be doing nicely.
Our friends at Homegrown Evolution told us about the poultry association meeting in Ventura on Oct. 25th and 26th in their fascinating post about the Plymouth Rock Monthly.
It all has us eye-ing the what-have-you again.

You should go for it! It's easier than you think, and so fun. I love my chickens and they provide so much entertainment, in addition to eggs.
