Tomato Cages from Reused Wire Mesh


I made a couple of tomato cages from reused concrete reinforcement mesh. We had previously used this material as a cheap fencing to keep our bad dogs in the yard. As we replace sections of it with a more private wood fencing or where our neighbor has put up his own wall, we need less and less of it. While it is rusted and a little beat up that just helps it fit in all the better with the rest of the junk around here.

I actually think they compliment the bean poles nicely.

That's two down and about eight more to go. We'll see how the tomatoes do since they didn't make it into the new planter bed.
