Resident Eric Thomason stumbled upon a grim scene early in the morning en route to his first cup of coffee. In the kitchen, he found the body of a fencepost lizard splayed on it's back revealing a cerulean blue belly. The lizard was declared dead on the scene.
A stunned Thomason said, "It just happened. There was nothing on the floor, then I turned around and it was here."
A suspect was held for questioning but released shortly thereafter to go pee outside.
This is why we can't have nice things, dog.
ReplyDeleteMy cat used to catch those all the time when I was a kid. She didn't care for mice but loved lizards and frogs.
I had a friend who once stepped on something that squished under his foot in the dark, and when he flipped ont he light he found out it was half a lizard. DiplodiCat Rex ate the other half.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah- cute pooch.
ReplyDeleteMy cats leave dead creatures like this as gifts (at least that's how I interpret their intentions). So maybe you should feel honored.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I got to see the picture of this after hearing the story at our going-away party. Not a good way to start Eric's day!
