Now that we are firmly entrenched in fall, I review my summer lists. At the beginning of the summer, the boys and I sat down to write down what we wanted to do over the summer. One of my favorites is "Plan a trip around the world." Check.
I am happy to say, we checked off everything we had hoped to do as a family.
I also made a personal list of projects that I wanted to tackle this summer. I did accomplish a lot of work over the summer but out of the six items actually written on my list, I only complete one: "hang out with kids HAVE FUN."
All in all, I think it was a success.
oh! that's a very good goal.
ReplyDeleteI have one like it, only it goes something like: pay off mortgage early so you both can retire to spend more time together.
I'd say you know what's important.
Thanks, Paula. I honestly don't feel the summer was a waste. A lot was accomplished & my most important goal was addressed. The other things are still happening...just at a slower pace. Good luck with the mortgage pay off. In between the payments, pencil in a few dates to spend time together right now...at home dancing while the dirty dishes wait until morning or sitting outside in the rain getting chilled to the bone & warming with the luxury of a warm bath. Our moments with those we love are precious and more valuable than anything. Even when the mortgage looms overhead.
