The Folk Music Center in Claremont, California, is worth a visit. Visitors are welcome to play the many instruments on hand. Kids are welcomed and encouraged to respectfully participate.

My oldest snapped this photo. He's becoming quite the photographer. I love watching him walk around with a big camera around his neck thoughtfully contemplating the composition of his photos.
