Two years ago, I gave Eric some embroidery floss, a hoop and Mary Thomas's Dictionary of Embroidery Stitches
after he expressed some interest in stitching.
He quickly drew the picture of the bird and just went for it. I'm thinking maybe Eric, Mister Jalopy and Mark Frauenfelder might launch a men's sewing circle.

That is so awesome! Very well done. I love free handing stuff too, just diving in and trying. It doesn't always come out as beautiful as this though!

Thanks for the kind words Laura. I don't know about the sewing circle though, having only recently been outed I'm still not comfortable with public displays of embroidering.
